Thanks for posting this Jim! I just reactivated my Google account. I clicked the +1, does that mean I've joined?
You don't even need to +1 in order to attend, anyone can watch via YouTube. It just gives the organizers a better idea of how many are tuning in.
What's your Google+ handle? , I think you still have to click on an icon to join that community
I'm on the exhibitor interest list and even those of us planning to exhibit in 2014 are waiting to find out where and when so we can apply for exhibit hall space. If I hear anything I'll let everyone know.
What do you think? Wonder-Con Anaheim April 18-20,2014?? I noticed that SDCCI has the Anaheim Convention Center booked for Apr16-21st. Wha do ya think???
Haven't heard anything from exhibitor reg yet but will book refundable rooms based on this, thanks for the heads up!
Yep, I did the same thing. This is especially important for us, because we like to stay at the Paradise Pier Hotel, to make it easy to do both Disney and the Con. Disney tends to sell out during Spring Break, so I figured I should get in my reservations while I could!ETA And I just realized, that's Easter weekend again! My guess is that CCI is being so wishy washy about this Con that Easter was the only date left when they tried to book.
It's possible that CCI is still trying to get Moscone dates, which might be why they haven't announced the Anaheaim dates yet. You never know...
You are more of an optimist than me. I think WC is permanently gone from SF.
The pessimist from me fears this, but the optimist in me wonders why CCI would officially 'express a desire to move back to San Francisco' if they weren't actually trying to do so. If they just wanted to stay in Anaheim, they would simply avoid mentioning San Francisco at all, and/or make a statement that there are no current plans to move back to San Francisco. Wouldn't they?
Except that it's kind of ridiculous for them to continue saying that now that they're not fooling anyone anymore.
